Life in the Secret Annex

Early 1942, Anne and her family, also the Van Pels, stayed in the Secret Annex. First, they hid in Mr.Frank old business place,in the attic.The attic had two floors,there was four bedroom and one bathroom. Then,they were in the Secret Annex for 2 years in hiding.Also, they had to go through some very harsh conditions. The harsh condition where they couldn’t go to school,not allowed outside at all,could not walk in the Secret Annex with shoes on,can’t run water from the sink or they can’t use the bathroom till 6:00AM to 8:00PM to be careful that no one will hear them upstairs and tell the green police.Also, they can’t have trash; they have to burn the trash so no one can trace them that they were living in the Annex. Finally, they have to speak in whispers until it was okay for them to talk again.

Anne, was a person that was outgoing and hyper. She was 13 years old when they went into the Secret Annex. She had friends that weren’t Jewish, but when Hitler came and wanting to kill all the Jews. So she couldn’t hang out with them anymore, because of Hitler. She was really happy to be in this new place; she didn’t know what was actually happening. She thinks that she has to go

They have been talking about what they want to do when they came out of the Secret Annex. Then one day Anne was talking to Peter and Peter was having feelings about Anne and Anne felt the same, and one day Anne was called to come in the living room and Peter grabbed her hand and pulled her in and kisses her. Then, they came downstairs and the green police were there to take the Family. They were sent to these horrible camps and most of them died expected Mr. Frank. Margot and Anne died with a lice disease. Peter died of exhaustion at one of the camps. Mrs. Frank died from illness. Mrs. Van Pels and Mr. Van Pels’ death are unknown.
