Life in the 1960’s
If I could live in any decade, I would live in the 1960’s and it isn’t all about the afros. There’s so much more such as the hippies and the epic T.V. shows. During the 1960’s, there was the largest unfounded oil mine meaning that I could be the first one to drill there and make a profit. T.V. in the 1960 differs to modern television. In the 1960’s the shows were way more family friendly for you just to have a good laugh, those shows aired taught life lessons to children which shows these days do not, The good shows back then were, for example Twilight Zone, the original Doctor Who, and Sesame Street, those shows had funny or frightening remarks, but compared to modern day shows like Modern Family, South Park, just had cruel jokes. Compared to modern day music for example pop, it contains inappropriate language that isn’t as family friendly as before. Even 60’s pop wasn’t as wretched as current day pop. Although, we do still listen to soft calm music for example smooth jazz but nothing compares to the 60’s. The Beatles, the band was a very popular rock band that was well known as the greatest and influential act of the 60’s. The band is still well known and heard in the 21st century. The fashion in the 1960’s weren’t all about the leg warmers and oversized radios. The style of hippy came along sometime in the 1960’s started by a youth act. Hippy is basically a spontaneous person that expresses love, and expands conscientious. They typically dress casual, folksy, headbands, bands and garments. Throughout the 1960’s fashion trends always changed. It went from slim clothing onto loose clothing, and last, but not least bring spontaneous clothing. For men afros became a fancy groovy trend, for women flared jeans and big blouses with nifty attitudes were the
