I have come to realize that life for the youth back in the 1900’s was difficult and hard. Many would look over the fact their working conditions were dangerous, and could cause them harm. I realize that today many take for granted the laws we have in place in America today that protect us. We do not really realize the changes we do not see how life has improved in some ways. Yes, we still have some improving to do, yet we are a lot better off then we were a 100 years ago. The lifestyles many live today some of those kids never got to experience. Some never got to go to school, enjoy the company of friends, or had time to simply be a child. Many were thrust into adulthood. They had to work to make a better life for their families, to help provide for them. I believe that Lewis Hine made a great impact on the world. He brought to light through his photographs the loss of these children's innocence. He showed the people the dangerous, and the moral wrongdoing of child labor. He showed how deprived they were from an education, family, and time to grow up. He helped to shape the way people saw child labor, and improved the society we live in. He made a change for the better. Through the dangers and hardships he worked, even though some would wish to kill him if they found him. He put all that aside to unveil the darkness of child
