Life In My Life

When God created the Heavens and the Earth, “in the beginning”, He did so with mankind in mind. A place just for all to have eternal and glorious habitation, alongside the other creatures they could enjoy (Gen. 1:1-2).
My life’s work has been as a Pastor, teacher, Minister, counselor and friend to many. I believe that every day is a new beginning for each and every one of us. As “if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another” (John 1:7). “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ” and minister to all we encounter is the only true way (Eph. 4:15). Taking the words that God gave us and using them as a guide in daily life and work. I take every day to be the person that Christ and

We have the ability to think and reason, to love, to correct and reproof and so many other attributes, because that was what God wanted for us (Kuyper, 2001). God did not just make us from dust and put us on earth to be lost and blind. He gave us the “Word”. In the Old Testament He spoke to the Prophets: Jacob, Abraham, Isaac and Moses, to carry His word to the people. The Prophets were instructed to “write it down”; this was a way for the “word” to be carried to all man throughout history and through all lands. The word was given as a means of a guide book, so to speak. God did not stop here. He allowed His son, Jesus Christ, to come to earth and walk along the same paths as other men. In order to resolve this, God sends his only Son, Jesus, to take on the sins of mankind, redeem them, and help them reestablish their relationship with God. This exchange was seen by Saint Paul, and later expressed by Saint Irenaeus. Saint Paul stated, “He who was rich became poor for our sake so that we might become rich through his poverty” (Kereszty, pg. 212). Saint Irenaeus further explained this by saying, “Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of God, of his boundless love, became what we are that he might make us what he himself is” (4.1 Study notes). The Fathers believed that because mankind shared the divine nature with God, this allowed mankind to be the perfect human beings.…

The one verse I will forever live by is Psalm 143:8, “Let the morning bring the word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I entrust my life”. This verse tells me that I do not need to fear about singing in front people, or fear befriending people, or fear leading others, or fear anything in this world because the moment I gave my heart to God, He continually held onto it with such a delicacy. He knows that I trust and have faith in Him, and likewise, I know He trusts and has faith in me. Many people do not think about God having faith and trust in them, but He does.…

In today’s society people has taken care of the environment in a different way. If God created the world and everything that goes along with it; then we as followers of God, Don’t we need to treat the world the way God would want us to? In Psalms 24:1-2 NIV it says “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.” How funny that not just people, but Christians themselves treat the world with such mocking and disrespect towards the environment. God had put his trust in us so that we could take care his treasures on this earth, and pass on the teaching towards our children from generations to generations.…
