Women from the medieval ages were denied from so many opportunities and their voices were not being considered in a society. They were not allowed to hold any position and “either were they allowed to contribute in any aspect of life. The life of a family living in Ghana is quite different as compared to the one in the United States, at the same time, girls in their teens to young adults will have a different life in two different places. At the same time within the borders of the United States, a girl raised in Minnesota will have an entirely different life as compared to a girl of the same age raised in Harlem. From my own visibility studies, one woman out of five has been ill-treated during pregnancy. This situation has turned out to be a habit of men in general which is leading to a cycle of violence that has really affected the life of women, girls and families in their entire life. African American Girls, Urban Inequality, and Gendered Violence and one of the remarkable ones that touched my life is on the issue of Felicia. She experiences sexual abuse in the early stages of her life which changed her conception of who men are and a careful study of her story brings me back to the notion of every individual’ s future will depends on where he or she is raised. Sexual victimization has become a constant violence in certain neighborhoods which is very difficult to eradicate. Beating of women and girls have become a norm in a certain race where they see women violence as normal . Drug abuse, selling of drugs, alcoholism has become a norm to a certain race where they don’t value the effect that will come upon them as a result of using those dangerous drugs. “Youth congregates on the streets and in the parks, and they cruise around in cars or on foot, socializing and play music. In some cases, they sell drugs, fight, and defend the neighborhood or gang territories.”
