The day we got her was pretty interesting and sad at first, but turned out to be the best day of my life. Let's start from the beginning of the day though. So when we left the house we were going to a dog place in Fond Du Lac called Sandi Paws. We went to look at a dog named Mr. Keaton and Ruby. ” Can we take Kyle along mom?” “Sure! Its called New Pawsibilities. We didn't know who to look at. We looked at a dog named Vaughn, Alice, and we saw Lucy so we looked at her too. My dad has been wanting to look at Alice for a while, but we never saw Lucy or Vaughn before. The first one to come in was Vaughn. She was adorable and full of energy. She was all dirty and smelled really bad but that didn't matter. She was nice, but not my favorite. The next one was Alice. She is 3 years old, but she was very scared. We think she was abused before she came to the dog place. She was apparently lost and dehydrated. She was skinny in an unhealthy way. The last dog was Lucy. She was adorable. She came running in and immediately jumped up on me. I loved her right away. I was really surprised when my dad “should we get her?” I almost cried when my dad actually wanted to get a dog. We told the person at the front desk that we wanted to adopt Lucy. She was $300 and that included her rabies shot and her adoption fee. I called my Aunt and told her the news. I had to take the phone away from my ear because she was screaming. She was really excited. Lucy is a brown/orange dog, She weighs 17 pounds, She is three months old, And she will be really small her whole life. I love her so …show more content…
I stuck my finger in the crate by her and she took a nap. We we got home we played with her and gave her supper. She ate her food really fast. We felt bad because We had to leave right away because I had a meeting at church. Lucy had to be alone for the first time.
When we got home my grandma and my Aunt came over to see her. She got two new toys from them and some treats. After they left, we gave her a bath because she smelled horrible from the dog place. She was actually really good while she was being cleaned. We stayed up with her until 10. She had to sleep in her crate because she isn't potty trained yet. She cried, and cried, and cried. Until she finally gave up. That's when I got to actually sleep. I love her so much.
A week later we took her to my cousin’s house to meet their dogs. We found out she likes car rides when she's not in her crate. Once she saw the dog she was scared because I wouldn't set her on the ground. I didn't want her to run away. She cried so I took her inside my grandma’s house. She saw cats and she was fine. Maybe she only likes
