Life coaching does not have clear cut definition, according to (Nelson-Jones, R. ,2006) there is not an established or accepted definition. What life coaching means to me is enhancing the well-being and performance of one in aspect, such as work and personal life. With that being said a career opportunities that I would be interested in is working with youth. Specifically working with immigrant children coming from low income families. In my own case I want to help other like ones helped me. Whether it be aspects of personal or professional life. Addressing dilemmas and helping conquer their challenges is very rewarding. An ultimate goal is to cause a ripple effect and impact a community in a positive way. Help someone now, so they than can help someone later.

Coaching and mentoring would allow me to use acquired skills and previous experiences to assist. Whenever there is relatability , it helps build trust easier. With that being there are many challenges that come with working with youth. One of the biggest challenges that will arise is the emotional attachment that comes with working with youth. When you spend long period of time with an individual bonds are developed and you never want to out step your boundaries and duties(Rieser-Danner, L. A., & Slaughter, V. ,2014). It may seem odd because emotional bonds and comradery are what build a helpful relationship, but you have to understand that you are not a parent, you are a coach and you have one job to do. .Both parties must understand and agree to the boundaries, the code of ethic must be followed in order to keep professionalism. The purpose of the code of ethics is to ensure that professionalism and core values are being followed(Griffith, R.,2015). In order to reduce and avoid complications clear cut boundaries must be set, whether it be time of session and availability. If you scheduled a session for one hour you must end it
