Personally, I don’t think I pick one “bad” teacher each one had their own strengths and weakness from what I was able to pick up for the hour and a half while in their classroom. Within the first ten minutes I entered a classroom I could see how involved a teacher was and how organized she was with her time With each year of school so many things are changing and knowing what you need to teach the kids as well when it comes to each grades personal standard of where a child should be at the end of the year. One of the things I learned was how for about the first month or two you are teaching the kids how to get on the classroom schedule and review some things they would have learned the year before. Many teachers are told what need to be taught each year, and then given a little freedom on how they want to do this, whether it is going by the book or more freestyle in finding the material for each new lesson plan. With all five of the classes, I observed, when they had circle time it was in order to help those who are currently below standards and to see how far above the other groups were as well. Just going to say I don’t remember having that when I was in grade school if you were behind you went with a different teacher to improve. Each teacher had their own special quality and when I was able to talk with them I was able to see it more. Being able to hear what they each thought was good and bad about being a teacher, how they knew it was the right thing for them, and each of them told me I was welcome to come back or give them a shout if I wanted to talk about the career of education. Last thing for me was it seemed after each observation I liked the idea of being a teacher more and more, saying that scares me. But this was a good first step in exploring this career option, I enjoyed doing this assignment and I viewed it as more of a learning tool than just another paper I need to
