WWI started on July 28 1914; it began as a global war centered in Europe. WW1 lasted until 11 November 1918. More than 9 million combatants died and there were 7 million casualties. The trench warfare was bad for the men in the trenches. It was bad because they had bad hygiene.
Since they were in the trenches they got trench foot and trench mouth, this was caused by cold conditions and bad hygiene. The blood vessels constrict in attempt to warm the body. Trench foot affected the entire foot. The foot didn’t fall off. Trench foot did swell and and was white/grey and was very numb, painful, and prickly.
That’s why we have to wear dry clothes and keep ourselves clean so that we don’t get sick. The outcome of my event was that we gained
