The wasps planned to eat Wart's friends that night, so Wart joined Robin's ambush. The plan was the outlaws were going to ambush during the wasp's feast because the wasps would be distracted from the sound and smell of their event, and the light from the fire made it easy for the bandits to see the wasps while staying in the darkness. After discussing the plan, the outlaws sprang into action and separated into groups. The groups reunited near the wasps and surrounded their feasting area. After the wasps became a bit suspicious, Robin blew his horn and all at once they fired their bows, striking down many confused wasps. One of the wasps charged at Wart while Wart was loading up his bow. Just as Wart shot, the wasp pounced on him and knocked him unconscious. Later that night, Wart woke up and was informed that his arrow killed the wasp in mid-air, but Wart took a few injuries. Wart also learns that they won the battle against the cannibal
