She shook her head. Her ribs were beginning to hurt again, but she didn’t want Needles touching her. Lieutenant Jorgan glanced over his shoulder at the medic, who had busied himself at another terminal, then inclined his head slightly for her to follow. He led her through a doorway into another corridor, then turned into a brightly lit room filled with medical supplies and an old medical droid. “I know you were injured.” He nodded towards the droid who had activated at the entry. It walked stiffly towards the table and waited for her to climb up. Jorgan crossed his arms and leaned against another table as she removed the hideous chest piece he’d lent her. It had been mid-afternoon by the time she finished with the scavenger camp. It had also been filled with Mantelians, some looked a little shadier than others, but most looked like refugees who had taken up illegitimate jobs to make a living.
Fynta was relieved when they said they were open to trading. With no Imperials in sight it had taken less than an hour and more than a few credits to gather the materials. But she left without firing her blaster and with an Albozene Pack, Vimidone Pack and a Medical injector. Even directions to Oradam Village. All in all it wasn’t an unpleasant experience. This planet was going to break her bank account.
She still had access to the speeder so the trip to Zak’s house had been a quick one. She parked in front, a two level building with the door standing open, inside was large open space, with a small flight of stairs leading into a small room.
There was a human male with dark hair, she assumed he must be Zak, bent over a pink Twi’lek female lying on the bed. She was groaning in pain. Fynta cleared her throat.
Zak spun around, “You, you’re a soldier, right? From the fort? Please, help us. We’re really sick, my wife is dying.” He stood aside to offer Fynta a better view of the
