Nursing can be a hard job if you don’t have the passion to help people nor having the communication skills to dictate the codes or treatment. The job has many requirements including major speaking skills and being able to delegate codes. Nursing, whether you are a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or have your Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN), you will go through similar processes like tasks and conditions.
Being a nurse can be difficult since you will have to make assessments and help figure out what is wrong with a patient. Although they do love caring for others, some say that they do not like the job for the fact that there is an uncertainty with the patients. Sometimes the patient can go down hill and start the process of dying which can scare many people out of doing that task of helping them because they do not want to be liable or can not handle the emotions. Other times the amount of patients can decrease in a night and some nurses get cost contained and sent home. This at times create problems with families since there will be less pay given to them for that paycheck. When nurses are not cost contained, they work long hours and sometimes on holidays and weekends because they get paid more. Working in hospitals or even just visiting one you will notice how many healthcare workers there are. There are different unit that associate to the desired field like cardiovascular units where they just talk about the heart. With the critical care unit, there are eleven rooms with each containing beds for the patient to stay overnight since it mainly consists of people who are dying. Compared to the other units, the critical care section is fairly small at Presence. At the end of getting your degree and are still working full time, you will be able to get the promotion. You can get schooling for higher paying jobs which does include becoming a surgeon or a CRNA. Job paying for a nurse differentiates between states and what degree you plan on getting, but the higher the degree, the high the pay. As stated before, nurses do work long hours, but they do get paid overtime. Also, if you work full time, you can get certain benefits like 401k, tuition reimbursement, and dental and medical help. You also can get merit by job performance, ethic, and attendance. You do get paid enough to handle finances, but if your taste for spending out does your current pay, then you will need another job. Finding a job in healthcare is fairly easy if you have the education for the job degree you have. You will also be able to continue to work as long as you are able to take care of yourself.
