Licensed Practical Nurses are nurses that provide basic medical care for patients. The education is that you need to complete an approved educational program and it typically takes 1 year to complete. After high school, one good college to go to is Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit. The lowest salary range for an LPN is $32,510 and the highest is $60,420. The job outlook is projected to grow 12 percent from 2016 to 2026 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2018). One person quality you need to have for this job is compassion which means you must be empathetic and caring toward the people they serve. Physical Therapists should be comfortable using their hands to provide manual therapy and therapeutic exercises. For example, I like doing hands on things. A second personal quality would be interpersonal skills because they spend much of their time interacting with patients, their families, and other healthcare practitioners so that means they should be courteous and friendly. For example, I like meeting and talking to new people like here at vo-tech I met a lot of new people and become friends with a lot of people. A third personal quality that is important for this job is physical stamina because they are frequently on their feet and moving as they work with their patients.
