Liberals Vs Liberals Essay

"We all want the same things in life. We want freedom; we want the chance for prosperity; we want as few people suffering as possible; we want healthy children; we want to have crime-free streets. The argument is how to achieve them…"(Student News Daily). The United States is split into two groups: Liberals and Conservatives. They both want the same thing, but have two totally different ways to approach them. The big question is, which one are you? The two groups have very distinct characters to them. Liberals are very pro human services and culture, while Conservatives are very much about money and the economy.
The Liberals or Democrats are very left winged. Left winged can also mean out there, far out. Left as in the left side of the political system. A few more names of the Liberals include: Socialists, Anti-Federalists, Green Party, Laborers, and Communism. They regulate the economy so that business and industry doesn't get too big. They prefer to tax so that they can spend it on services, like free health care and welfare money. They are for the people, always in their best interest. …show more content…
Liberals think that Global Warming has a bigger threat to the U.S. than terrorism. It is a result of a poor, arrogant foreign policy. The terrorists that they capture should be taken care of by the law, not military forces. Also that they should have trials in civilian courts so that they have a better chance of not being guilty. It is more of a fair trial than a military trial. Conservatives think that terrorists are going to be the death of America. It is one of the biggest and worst threats to us. The Islamists, in their belief, cannot live peacefully with the west side of the world. Terrorists have to be put to an end or else they will end us first. Gathering them and using military force on them is the best way to deal with them. Captured terrorists should be treated as enemies and have trials in military
