Conservatives vs Liberals on Abortion A conservative wishes to end abortion rights. However, a liberal wishes to legalize abortion rights everywhere. Conservatives believe that human life begins at the moment of conception. Liberals believe one is not alive until birth. As Christians, conservatives feel like they must stand for God’s gift of life. Liberals do not see anything wrong with legalizing abortion. As Liberals, they believe one should not use their religion to decide for others rights. Therefore, a conservative disagrees with making abortions legal while a Liberal wishes to legalize. Christians see life as a gift from God. The Bible says life is a blessing and we as Christians must inform others of this gift’s importance. Christians believe they receive this gift from God and must devote it to Him. An example is the story of John the Baptist when Jesus says “greet one another whilst still in the wombs of their mothers." These two humans being capable of knowing each other before birth proves that they were in fact alive in the womb. This example was just one of the multiple times Scripture gives proof of life before birth. The Bible never specifically speaks of abortion, but definitely gives examples of life before birth and the wrong in killing another human.

Liberals have quite a few arguments as well. The most used argument is “my body, my choice.” This argument is that women should have the right to choose what they do with their bodies or to their bodies.
