Liberal Gun Laws And Crime

Decent Essays
How have liberal gun laws affected the death toll/crime rate in America.

The reason I chose this topic is because of my interest in weapons and law/politics also this is something that is very important in our times because of the amounts of gun deaths across all the world, especially in the United States Of America.

That has changed a lot because of murder, suicide, homicide, mass murder etc. A gun is a weapon that fires small bullets propelled by explosive force (gunpowder). unsurprisingly the most homicides are done by guns as well as with suicide, mass murder and terrorism, overall guns have caused approximately 1.4 million deaths in USA in history overall. The reason people commit suicide mostly through guns is because it is a painless.

Gun violence in America Gun violence is an all-time high. In the wake of Sandy Hook, widespread concern forced legislators to take a second glance at our gun laws. When twenty children and six educators were gunned down, many citizens were stunned, outraged, and begged authorities to pass more crucial gun laws because with fewer guns, there could possibly be fewer incidents involving gun violence. Many people believe that the widespread availability of guns is making society unsafe. Each year, nearly 100,000 Americans are shot, 32,000 of them die, 47 children are shot every day, and eight of them die, according to the U.S. News Digital Weekly.…

The numbers include everything from homicides and multiple-victim gang assaults to incidents of self-defense and accidental shootings. The organization’s records show that more than 12,600 people have been killed with guns this year, but what its numbers do not record — due to government reporting practices — is a massive hole in the data: the nearly 20,000 Americans who end their lives with a gun each year. Nor does its already high injury tally capture the full extent of the victims who continue life with debilitating wounds and crushing medical bills. It does however, mention the amount of deaths due to self-defense, which is gun advocates’ main argument, that record to about 1,500, a significantly low rate compared to deaths due to guns. With a ratio of 1.5: 8.3, excluding suicide…

A romantic notion to me in today’s society is gun control. This is a huge topic of debate in today’s world.
