Liam Murphy: A Short Story

Liam Murphy take three I get home and here that the lawn mower is running in the back yard. My grandpa usually mows the lawn but when I went to go see who was on the lawn mower it was not my grandpa. It was no one other than Liam Murphy. He sees me and smiles and waves. I smile and wave, then walk away. I go into the house and go find my grandpa and I ask him " why is Liam Murphy mowing our lawn?" Then my grandpa says " I paid him because I am getting older and I just can't do it anymore." The I smile at him and walk away. I go into my room and grab a book and head out the backyard and sit down in my chair and take off my shoes and put my feet up and start reading. I smile and run over to him and give him a hug. We eat the picnic. We lay down on the blanket and Liam has his arm around me. I snuggle into him and look up at him. We walk back to my house and talk in my room. But I fall asleep. Liam is talking and he says " Cora, Cora." And he realizes that I fell asleep. So he picks me up and puts me under the cover. Then he goes out the window and goes back to his house. The next morning I wake up and there is a note from Liam that says " call me when you read this." So I call him and he says " good morning my love." Then he says " wait no I need to say it." Then he says " Cora Richardson I have loved you since the first day I laid my eyes on you!" We go on the trampoline and start jumping. Then Liam sits down and asks me " how do you do that spin thing, that I saw you did a few times when I was going in?" Then I say " oh that's easy here I'll show you." I stand up and twist and do my trick. Then Liam says " " ok so like this?" And he does the trick also. And he does it amazingly. Then we start jumping and I jump up and Liam jumps down. Then we both fall and start laughing our eyes out. I am laying on my back. And so is Liam. Then he rolls on top of me and says " I love you so much." Then I say " I love you too." He is in a push-up form over me and he says " hope you love me after this!" And he starts to tickle me and I scream " Liam stop!" And I'm trying to breathe because I am laughing so hard.

We go off to college/Graduate College. I am looking for Liam and he is not responding to my texts. I go out to the backyard and see that Liam is out by my favorite tree. I see him down on one knee with a box in his hand. I run over to him and he says " Cora I have loved you since the first day I laid my eyes on you. And I have never loved anyone as much as I love you. And I can't imagine another day without making you, my wife. Cora, will you marry me?" Then I say " yes Liam yes!" He puts the ring on my finger and stands up and gives me a kiss and lifts me off the ground and hugs
