Case Summary

Liam-Jay Stevenson is subject to a Full Care Order (9 th of October 2015). He was originally placed with his father, Jayson Stevenson, but since the 15th of September Liam-Jay has been placed with Melanie and Richard Valentine due to concerns around Jayson’s lake of compliance around his care order.
Care Proceedings
The Local Authority initiated care proceedings in respect of Liam-Jay Stevenson on the 26.08.2011. Concerns included substance misuse, neglect and verbal aggression directed at Liam-Jay from his mother Samantha in an attempt to manage his behaviour and concerns surrounding domestic disputes between Samantha and Jayson and the impact of these on Liam's physical safety and emotional wellbeing. He is of a slight build. Liam-Jay has a beautiful smile with star wars glasses that he loves. He enjoys football (especially Manchester Utd) and playing with his toys. Liam- Jay has an active imagination but, on occasions, he can become anxious around his father.

Education
Liam- Jay attends The Oaks community primary school. He is year 2. Joe enjoys PE and at the time of writing he does doesn't need any additional support. If this is needed in the future we could look at providing support via Pupil Premium.

Health
Liam- Jay wears glasses and regularly attends the opticians in order to maintain his glasses. Liam-Jay is registered with Melanie and Richards local GP and dentist. Liam-Jay has historically had problems with wetting the bed which may be linked to the stress and the anxiety of Liam-Jay's early childhood experiences whilst living with his mother. The conditions in which Liam-Jay lived with his father didn’t improve the situation either, he currently shared a room with Ruby who is Chloe's (Jayson's partner) daughter. This means that Liam-Jay was often living in very cramped conditions which may have a profound impact on his anxiety levels. Liam-Jay also has contact with his father every Tuesday for an hour and a half. There are currently plans to move this to contact every two weeks.

Placement
As previously mentioned Liam-Jay is placed Melanie and Richard Valentine. There are currently plans to asses Samantha Hayes Step Sister, Louise Molloy and Martyn Clay.

Any other information including RISK:
Historically there has been a level of family dysfunction with the Local Authority securing a full care order in respect of Liam-Jay as a result, in part, of the risks posed by Liam-Jay's mother and her previous partner and his father who was judged by the local authority to not be meeting Liam-Jay’s care needs. As a result Liam-Jay now lives with Melanie and Richard Valentine.
