Firefighter Takes Special Hike for Fallen 9/11 Comrades
The anniversary of 9/11 is always a time of reflection, remembering and mourning for those who were lost that day. Oftentimes, it is also a time for first responders to honor those who gave their lives trying to save others. This is exactly what Jason Harding had on his mind when he headed in to Planet Fitness on the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
Dressed in full gear, Harding asked the staff member on duty, Lezlie Bauler if he could climb 110 sets of stairs in honor of the comrades he had lost on that horrible day. Naturally, Bauler agreed and tearfully took a photo of him as he was completing his mission.
When WBIR caught up with Harding, he said that he wasn't looking for personal recognition.
