This is one of the photographs in Lewis Hine’s National Child Labor Committee collection. In this photograph, there are many repetitions. The background is made by the same windows, and the same stairs and seats. All figures wear the same uniform, and most of them are sitting, back against the camera, except the two older figure standing and watching the youngers. The younger figures seem like they are working in an awkward position where they have to bend their back like an old man. The older figures are like a kind of slave driver that make them into obedience. The lighting of the photograph is dull.
