Live Life To The Fullest
An Italian proverb states.“If you can’t live longer, live deeper”. This quote is from Italy because the quote was created from someone that lived there. The quote basically means that everyone should live their life to the fullest because once you’re gone you can’t come back. The quote still fits in with today’s society because people are still going out and taking a big task before their time passes. This proverb can be shown through historical people, literature, and events, especially through Michael Jackson, Lewis and Clark, If I Stay, and The Boston Marathon bombing.

The map of Lewis and Clark shows the specific locations they traveled to during their adventure. “The reverse features a map of the journey by Lewis and Clark’s corps of Discovery across the continent from St.Louis to Fort Clatsop on the snores of the Pacific”(Snow 671). Many of people would have been scared to travel, but Lewis and Clark were two brave men that enjoyed to travel. With the love of traveling helped Lewis and Clark succeed in their great adventure across the Pacific Ocean before they had passed away. Lewis and Clark showed people that there was more space and shape to the world then the people actually thought. “These maps take for granted the space and shape of the nation in ways early nineteenth century Americans could not” (Snow 673). In the early century, many people believed that if you kept traveling towards the Pacific Ocean you would fall off, but Lewis and Clark didn’t believe that was true. If it wasn’t for Lewis and Clark people today would probably still believe that you would fall off the earth. Throughout Lewis and Clark’s travel they wrote in a journal to show all the places they traveled to. “ A journal of the voyages and travels of a corps of discovery, call into question histories of Lewis and Clark” (Snow 675). With no one that really knows about Lewis and Clark’s time period and their voyage, people still have unanswered questions. Even after the death of Lewis and Clark, people use their journal to try to find the answers to their questions.
