Personal branding is happening when we do not even realize it because we are always on display. There are several ways in excel at building your brand by concentrating on a few key points that Dorie Clark has brought to life. Building your skills, the right ones to project your brand to others. Leveraging your points of difference by showing others what makes you unique will help to make you stand out. Finally, providing your worth by utilizing different social media platforms. Building the right skills to promote your personal brand will help to let others know you do not settle for anything, but instead are always pushing yourself. I do not settle for anything. I do not have to every person help me in the end. The likelihood of them telling others what I have done will spread and that will help me to build more relationships. Therefore, in reality, it does help me to project my personal brand. Providing my worth to others is what the first two tools have enabled me to perfect, now I need to take action so I can tell others by using a personal brand campaign. A personal brand means, “You make the consumers-customers, readers, organizers, and hiring managers- aware of your personal brand and gain their trust to transact with you” (Deckers & Lacy, 2013). I use LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to promote myself. I use LinkedIn for my professional life. A social networking platform for professionals. This is where I display my professional accomplishments, show how many connections I have and aspects people have endorsed me on. I never post anything negative or things that could be misinterpreted. I stay positive by making comments on other people’s pages to encourage them. This lets others know I am there for them. In return they often reach out to me and we become closer, building trust as well as our relationship. Twitter is a platform I have been more active on, due to this class. I have added several groups to my connections as well as found a Tweet Chat I am going to attend on Wednesday, September 30th. I am able to get my name out there and share information about myself. By being active on all three of these platforms, it is sure to drive my worth to others. I will continue to grow my personal brand by following the points of building m skills, showing my uniqueness and providing my worth to others. It may sound simple but there is a lot of work that goes into personal branding. I can apply these three points by using social media to project who I am and what my personal brand
