Level-headedness
My siblings and I all have a common trait: level-headedness. Level-headedness helps us remain calm, understanding, and helpful to others. "We all love ourselves more than other people, but care more about their opinion than our own." - This quotation from Stoic Marcus Aurelius relates to us because we all want to hear people’s opinions, and we always tend to the needs of other people before our own. My sister Freya is the oldest of the bunch, and she is the strongest and independent person I know. Robert is the middle child, and he has taught me to always do my best and never give up. I hope that one day I could be like them because I admire their level-headedness.

Rob was born on October 27, 1998, Syracuse, New York. He is the middle child, and my only brother. He grew up in Asheville, North Carolina with me and Freya. He started out school at Carolina Day, but then when he was in second grade he went to the Key. Around that time he began to play soccer and he kept playing it until his sophomore year of highschool. He Joined HFC in fifth grade and he continued that until his second year at highschool. He stayed at Carolina Day until his sophomore year when he decided that that environment was right for him so he decided to do a year in Costa Rica. During his time at Costa Rica he was able to explore the country and learn a little bit of Spanish. After a year in Costa Rica he came home in December of 2016, and then went to Asheville High for the remainder of his high school career. Rob exhibited level-headedness when he was with a camping group in Utah where there were kids who kept wanting to start fights, but he was able to keep his cool and not fight back. In Costa Rica he went to school with many annoying people and instead of yelling at them he tried to help them, and make them less annoying. Another way Rob exhibited level-headedness was during an eighth grade soccer game where there was this one kid on the other team who was yelling at them and tackled him. Instead of getting in a fight with the kid his team just beat them in the game because the were better. Rob tries …show more content…
I have a brother and sister who I grew up with, and they have inspired me to always do my best. I was born and raised Asheville North Carolina, I would eventually start school at Carolina Day, but I left and joined the Key in first grade. The has helped me handle my dyslexia, and have it not so much of burden. Over the summer I played tennis, and was taught one on one by neighbor. level-headedness is a trait the not only me but my siblings share. One way I exhibited level-headedness was on a camping trip, and this one kid was worried about the trip. Instead of being all caught up in his worry I kept calm and level headed, and tried to help him. Another time I displayed level-headedness was on another camping trip, where this girl sliced her hand on a rock. The supervisors tended to her, but everyone else was freaking out, but I was able to remain level headed. That girl’s mom came, and picked her up from where we were, and she was fine. The last way I showed level-headedness was over the summer when I was playing tennis over the summer. I knew that I was not very good, but I remained level headed and not get discouraged. I always try to be level headed with all my siblings, but it almost always ends up with someone getting
