Inbreeding started out as an accident, but later inbreeding then it became purpose full. Typically now humans cause inbreeding to happen, for tourism. People like to see abnormal animals because they are usually seen as prettier so people will pay more to see and take pictures rather than care about how they came into existence (Assaf). Though inbreeding can be used for good scientists very rarely have to inbreed animals to save them, but if all the individuals left are related in the given species, it can become inevitable to not inbreed. This is called leucism. Leucism is a condition where the pigment originally found in the skin, feathers, scales, or fur is missing pigmentation. Pigmentation is what causes the specific colors like black, or brown to show up is the animal's coat, so when the pigmentation disappears it gives the animals a white coat. Leucism is commonly confused with albinism, now both do cause a white coat, albinism is caused by the lack of melanin which gives the animals red eyes, whereas leucism is caused by the disappearance of multiple types of pigment causing bluish grey
