Letter To The Wrestling Banquet

Decent Essays
I will try to keep this brief so as not to waste too much of your valuable time that could be spent doing something much more important. As you know, earlier in the year I was suspended for striking another student. Then more recently got into an engagement with a 7th grader, who shall remain unnamed to protect her privacy, that caused a disruption at the wrestling banquet. I cannot express how sorry I am for doing such and I wish I could go back and calm myself down. I do have a certain complaint concerning this incident, but that's not the reasoning behind this letter. I was wondering that, even with the disciplinary actions taken against me, if I would be permitted on the trip to Silverwood.

In his article, “Don’t Suspend Students Empathize”, David Kirp writes of the challenge educators face in regards to disciplining their students. Kirp, a college professor and senior fellow at the Learning Policy Institute, clearly holds education in high regard. The article broaches the topic of suspending students, and Kirp’s strong feelings towards the matter. He suggests instead of immediately suspending students, educators should empathize along with disciplining the students, doing so by teachers trying to view the world from an adolescent’s point of view. The article is published to inform parents and educators, is written using the persuasive techniques of ethos, pathos, and logos, in an easy to read manner and posing questions, creating…

The connection between parent and child is one that is said to be stronger than no other. When a mother gives birth, the feeling experienced can not be surpassed by any other feeling. When a father holds the child for the first time, the bond and never ending love that forms is automatic. It is fair to say that signs of affection differentiate between each family.…

To whom it may concern: This letter is to request my reinstatement to University of Maryland University College. My poor academic performance was not just a bad reflection of myself but also of what knowledge I should have been able to show I learned from taking intriguing classes. I have never been a person to give up and usually go full force with anything I would like to pursue. This may not be the best description; however, I believe I may have hit my own version of a mid-life crisis.…

My grades this past year were and are not indicative of who I am as a student, or as a person in general. My junior year of high school, I decided to do PSEO, thinking it was an easy way to get credits for both high school and college. I did not realize the struggle I was going to have just trying to be accountable for myself during my senior year. My daily schedule consisted of work, soccer, managing the high school boy’s hockey team, volunteer work, spending time with my high school friends and taking college courses. I took the most challenging classes through Anoka-Ramsey Community College, thinking that like high school these would be the best for me.…

Your Honor, I am writing this letter in regards to boyfriend, David Matraj, for his trial/sentencing date set to April 10th, 2017. The reason why I am writing to you is to express my concerns regarding the events that took place that evening and the reasons why I feel that David does not pose a threat to myself or to my daughter, Autumn. I have been dating David for almost two years (June 20th), and just like any normal couple we have experienced a few bumps in the road. I am stubborn about things just as most women are, and he can be as well about certain things. Ours is one of the longest relationships I have been in…

Hey Mr. Boyens, I am just checking in about my supposed baseball suspension. I was informed yesterday for the first time that I am supposed to be suspended for two games. I am wondering why I am suspended in the first place? If it is related to the possession accusation I had, that charge was dropped so nothing is on my record or anything like that. Even if that was the case, other West Central players have acquired charges that they were actually convicted of and were still not suspended from any games.…

Being a gymnast was not only about making flips and turns it was something more than that. It came with its challenges, but it was something unforgettable. Having been a competitive gymnast for ten years not only showed me how to be a part of a team, but it showed me something greater which is work ethic. When I was in gymnastics I learned that you will have to work with people that you necessarily do not get along with.
