I am writing this letter of reference on the behalf of Mabin Lee Womble. I have known Mabin for more than 20 twenty years, and he has always remained a member of the Asbury Park community where he has faithfully been a part of multiple community and faith-based events. Additionally, Mabin has had a long and productive career working and serving in the greater Asbury Park area. Mabin is a consistent and reliable person, and Mabin’s commitment to the children and residents of Asbury Park is decidedly compassionate and supportive. He really puts the concerns of others first and goes out his way to assist or help them, which is a remarkable characteristic to bear in today’s times.…

To whom it may concern, April 9th, 2018 I, Patrick Coleman, am writing this out my own free will and On my Honor, as a scout, I am writing this truthfully and to the best of my knowledge. Last week, during our scout meeting, we played a 20 minute game of manhunt. While we were playing, I witnessed Tristan Stoltz fall. Afterwards, he had accused Steven of pushing him. Now, while seeing Tristan fall, there was no evidence of Steven pushing him.…

Dear J. Madison, I have the utmost respect for you, but something has been puzzling me lately, I simply cannot comprehend why you oppose the Connecticut Compromise so deeply. I despise that we are in an argument about the ways our government should work. The Constitution would not have been as grand as it is if not for you, however your Virginia Plan does not represent smaller states, such as my home in Connecticut, New Jersey, and many other states are in agreement. My idea is a compromise, which involves each state, it includes bicameral legislature, with one part proportional representation and the other half involving each state having one representative. I know you are a busy man, but I hope that you will consider voting for the good of…

Adrenaline rushed through my tensed body as though I inched toward the edge of a cliff ready to jump off. Governor Hutchinson just rejected our plea to send the Dartmouth back to England, and everyone in Boston couldn’t take much more of England’s petty games of taxation and their seemingly unlimited power over the colonies. Once the governor’s answer came to everyone at the Old South Meetinghouse, I think we all felt something needed to be done to send a message to England that we had enough (Brooks). Being a part of the Sons of Liberty, I knew a plan was being devised no matter the outcome of the Dartmouth situation. We could hear the Dartmouth bellow while coming in to dock, and far off in the distance could be heard the Beaver and the Eleanor.…

Ethos, pathos, and logos were used throughout the whole letter but Martin Luther never knew which method worked. Martin Luther King Jr.was intelligent to use all three methods to persuade stubborn men. The provincial clergymen of Birmingham had written a letter to Martin Luther King Jr. to express their opinion about the segregation problem. Martin Luther King Jr. decided to respond back and by persuading them into wanting the “outsiders” help with segregation. In the Letter of Birmingham Martin Luther King Jr. uses ethos the credibility in the letter, pathos the emotions behind his words, and logos the logic portrayed in his ideas but the clergymen respond more to logos.…

To (All) the Colleges that Rejected Me In her Op-Ed, “To (All) the Colleges That Rejected Me”, Suzy Lee Weiss argues that colleges lie to applicants with the line: “Just be yourself,” when in reality, they only accept a specific kind of student. Weiss’s argument is weak however, as Weiss fails to use any logos to back up her claim and instead comes off as a close-minded, slightly racist and homophobic privileged teenager simply ranting about not getting in, whom is not the type of student elite colleges seek to accept. Though her argument is weak, Weiss starts off her Op-Ed well, stating in the first sentence: “Like me, millions of high-schoolers… are asking themselves this week how they failed to get into the colleges of their dreams.”…
