Dear Mr. Curtis Miller, and Mr. Summers,

My brothers used to come home from school and their usually quiet and grumpy voices Did you know I’m named after a bear? In this letter you will learn everything you need to know about Oscar Burnes. I, Oscar Burnes have many hobbies, and a pretty interesting background. The two sports I play competitively are soccer, and tennis. I am much better at soccer, plus I like it a lot more. I also play guitar. I’ve been playing guitar for about 2 years. In fact I even played at my sleepaway camp. Finally one of my favorite things to do is to watch modern family. I feel it can kind of bring my whole family to laughter. My family has 5 people, Mom, Dad, Eli, Henry and me. Henry and Eli are my brothers. In the past few years

Or at least those are the subjects I’d say I’ve had the most success in writing. In reading I like fiction mostly. I love to read books I get into. Once I get into a book it’s almost impossible to put it down. My favorite book ever is Martian by Andy Wier, to give you some background. My study habits can be good and bad. When I have a lot of time, I typically do a good job and go above and beyond. For instance when we had a project on a certain type of rock, I looked at a bunch of other elements and found some pretty cool ones. But when I am stressed I usually try to take a short cut. Or not give it my all. To be my ideal teacher is very hard, but I have a feeling you guys will come pretty close. Some tips are, making sure everybody understands the homework. Also I like doing class more as a whole class instead of splitting into partners or groups . Finally I love when we can do hands on projects. The license plates were awesome! Now I hope you have gotten a hold of how I like to act. In class and at home. We’ve only had a few days of class and I can feel its gonna be great. Now let’s start that fantastic

A Cry for Help An indentured servant named Richard Frethorne, from the Virginia plantation Martin’s Hundred, wrote letters to his mother and father begging them to “redeem” his indenture.1 The letter written by Frethorne opened up his parents eyes and the eyes of other Englishmen to the unforsaken truth about indentured servants, the conditions they were living in, and what hardships America was going through (e.g. disease, starvation, and death.) Frethorne wrote his parents a letter in hopes of revoking his indenture and returning home to England. If the Frethorne family were unable to do that, alternatively, selling meals with “good folk” or sending him food to sell in America to pay back his indenture.…

These genres deviated from the boring realities of our world. While I did take an interest in reading, the books that my teachers gave me to read were boring, non-fiction, books with no pictures. The lack of readings I did began to have an effect on the way I wrote. It wasn’t until then my teacher decided to introduce to us book reports. We could read any book we wanted and then write we liked and disliked about the book, however it had to be on a level that was suited for us.…

If I had to choose a favorite subject, English would be at the top of my list. I am no perfectionist, although English is my preferred subject. I still lack many qualities that make an exquisite writer. I’ve been in school for approximately three weeks now and English is one of the many subjects I am taking. Luckily the professor I chosen is very nice, knowledgeable and adamant about the subject he teaches.…

But, they kept in mind, that in the end, it would be all worth it.…

Family of Origin Introduction Families are a social system that is governed by rules and power structures, in which members become emotionally connected and interdependent (Collins, Jordan, & Coleman, 2012). Families tend to be the responsible agent in shaping the environment where individuals grow and develop. Each member in the family is different, and each contributes to the functionality of the family in a distinctive way. To be able to understand an individual’s behavior within a family, the family context and environment must be understood (Collins, Jordan, & Coleman, 2012).…
