Letter To Mrs. Hogan's Position

Decent Essays
Thank you Mrs. Hogan for teaching the class in a way no other teacher has taught me. You were always calm and understood why students did certain things.

You would always make jokes so we are still paying attention. Sometimes you would get mad but you had a reason to be mad. Whenever a recent class got you mad you would always tell us that you were mad. When she did, we behaved well. Most of the time. You could connect to the students like no other teacher I went to. You put yourself into a position that the student was in. You have always been a good teacher and I know that you still will be.

Thank you for caring for your students. Good wishes to the students you have now.

The desks in the classrooms were set up for collaborative learning which seemed to really work for her students. Mrs. Gaither also did great job in teaching with all the different learning styles so that she could reach each student’s preference. After each assignment, Mrs. Gaither went around to each individual student and went over their answers with the student. Based on what answers they got wrong is where she would focus more attention. I found this style of teacher very helpful to each student because it wasn’t just as a whole.…

When you hear the word hero you might think of Hercules, strong, golden tan, magical, unlike any normal person. A hero is someone who saves the incredibly gorgeous princess from the terrible tower just in the nick of time, but it doesn't always have to be like that. To me a hero is someone who goes out of their way to improve the wellbeing of the people around them. For example, little Suzie gets her kite stuck in a tree and is just too short to reach it.…

I went from an exceptional student to one who talks back. Since freshman year Mrs. R had been my favorite teacher, even though I did not have her until I was a junior. She was kind and always there if you needed to take a breather in her class, or simply do whatever you needed to on the computer, if it was your lunch. I've heard students complain about how they did not like her and how annoying she was. However, I couldn't understand why they felt that way about Mrs. R. I never saw her the way they did.…

My Path to Literacy For a very long time writing and reading was a huge struggle for me. I was one of those students who was very intelligent, but disliked reading tremendously and was often told, “You write the way you talk”. The older I grew the more I realized that my struggles with writing was due to my lack of reading. I was aware of my issues but because it became a part of my writing habits it was hard to adapt to anything different. I wanted to be like everyone else and be a good authentic and productive writer but it seemed almost impossible.…

In order to provide this type of environment for my students, I will make my expectations for my classroom clear, and the consequences for going against my expectations equally as clear. The basis of my classroom will be built on mutual respect and trust. I plan on creating this mutual trust and respect by developing close relationships with all of my students. Through these close relationships, I plan on using my students’ interests and strengths to make my classroom and assignments as interesting for my students as possible.…

It demands expansive knowledge of subject matter and the curriculum; enthusiasm, a caring attitude, and a love of learning; knowledge of discipline and classroom management techniques; and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young people, where they will be able to make a contribution to society after school days are over.
