Letter To Mr. Franklin's Letter

Improved Essays
Dear Mr. Franklin, on behalf of your beliefs, I believe there are other ways to maintain a happy marriage. I believe women should not only treat their men great, but obtain an education as well. By having an education, women find things easier to manage and will be smarter. Women are intelligent humans that care for their loved ones. The only way to let us flourish is by allowing us to get an education. Then, we would be able to care for our husbands better, nourish them, and love them at the same time. Not only that, we would be able to take care of our selves, which would look good on our part. Mr. Franklin, I really hope you consider my letter because it would really help the current generation of today’s women.

Yours truly,

The purpose of the letter was to thank Priestley for his critic on a paper Franklin had written on the Aurora Borealis. This letter was written during the Enlightenment, which included writers that focused on an exchange of ideas. This time period was not just about intellectual improvements, but also political and social improvements. There were revolutions throughout this time period, which would inevitably lead to social change.…

The Latin word “errata” is a notation in writing or in a print to mark mistakes into a correct structure. In the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, Franklin mentioned the Latin word errata instead of just English word “mistakes” perhaps to emphasize a part that he would like for his son to pay special attention to or perhaps use another language to hide the meaning inside this word, but make it so that his son would eventually figure out about the hidden meaning. There are four important times Franklin had put “errata” to mark his mistakes in life. The first erratum he had made was with his brother, James, working as an indenture in his brother’s shop. Due to his brother unable to publish articles, Franklin took the responsibility of his…

Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." That quote often comes up in the context of new technology and concerns about government surveillance. Simply put; and I'm paraphrasing here; but Ben Franklin essentially said at one point, those who would exchange self-government for a bit of security deserve neither to be self-govern nor security. The quotation is considered to come from a letter that Franklin had written on behalf of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Very few citizens who quote these words, however, have any idea where they come from or what Franklin really meant when he wrote them.…

We need to learn to die to ourselves and allow a man (our future husband) to be the spiritual leader and guide of our relationship and life. This does not mean that we will not have a say, but that this man will have the final say. I personally do not like making decisions on my own, and would rather my boyfriend help me and eventually make the decision for me. Though I do understand that there are woman that are very independent, as my best friend is, I find that these woman have it much harder to be in a relationship with a man because they are not the “leader.” I do believe that woman should be paid equally than men if they are in the same position, but I do not believe that woman should be superior to men, or leave behind their obligations at home with the children they held in their whom.…
