I will also send her, as they are approved by the Counseling IC, any NEW proposed courses. I don't foresee any of these courses conflicting with current Psy. classes. In fact, BHS 155, for example, is the only evidenced based model as of date, and it is proprietary. I am part of the advisory board and we have only approved, besides agencies such as FBI's EAP programs, Florida State University and the MCC/Behavioral Health Sciences program. Any course similar to this proposal would result in a lawsuit. In addition, many of the new courses can only be taught by a certified instructor for student certification process. I've already checked with respective industry mental health organization and only BHS instructors are registered as certified instructors at MCC. Hence, it would be both unethical and concerning if another department is offering similar
