Letter To Matthew Joseph

Decent Essays
Three years ago today, October 29, 2014, an amazing guy asked me to be his girlfriend in the church parking lot after choir by saying, "so, you wanna make this official." Of course I said yes to that romantic gesture. But anyway this is just a huge thanks to him for actually wanting to date a high end horse girl and putting up with me for three years. He's all I have ever wanted and couldn't imagine my life without him. He does so much for me even when he's not here. I can honestly say he's my best friend and I'm glad that he's a part of my crazy life. I love you Matthew Joseph.

Cheers to 3 years

Throughout the Gospels of Matthew and John, each of them expressed rhetorical devices and rhetorical appeals in their stories but illustrated them in varying ways. According to the article by Matera, he expressed “symbolism that was applied to the evangelists by relating Matthews Gospel to the face of a human and Johns Gospel to the face of an eagle. This symbolism, which was specially developed by Irenaeus, enabled the church to see each of the Gospels as distinctive and yet gazing upon the same reality with a different face” (Matera, 2017). Also, in the book of John, he wrote his stories to provide readers to have a clear understanding of imagery. For instance, the cross that Jesus got nailed to played a major role when it came to imagery in the Bible.…

“MANASSEH AND EPHRAIM” The Egyptian children of Joseph were given two tribes among the children of Israel, and their tribes were known to be the tribe of Manasseh and Ephraim (Genesis 13:8, 11). These tribes became leaders among the Hebrews and Jewish communities. Moses was able to select two people from each tribe of the Egyptian sons of Joseph to spy the land of Canaan (Numbers 13:1-2,8,11,16). Manasseh was given his father's place, he took over the tribe of Joseph which was among the twelve tribes of Israel (Numbers 13:11). Both the Egyptian tribes of Manasseh and Ephraim were sealed during the millennium (Revelations 7:6, 8).…

Nice post Stephanie. I liked how John Piper said the goal of the “Church” is worship. For some reason my mind was stuck on my purpose when I read that part of the book and it took me a while to figure it out. For World Christians, I loved how Hawthorne related when we focus our lives on God’s purpose “it’s about discipleship.”…

God picked Joseph to be the natural father of Jesus. The Bible lets us know in the Gospel of Matthew, that Joseph was an upright man. His activities toward Mary, his life partner, uncovered he was a kind and frail man. At the point when Mary told Joseph she was pregnant, he had each privilege to feel disfavored. He knew the kid was not his own, and Mary's apparent unfaithfulness conveyed a grave social disgrace.…

The book contains twelve letters from James to the gentleman. The first letter is an introductory one, in the first letter, James sets himself up as a country farmer with little education, in contrast to the man he is writing to, who is well-educated and we can assume is a better writer than James. The second letter describes in great detail the plants and animals found on the farm where James is living. The third letter is titled What is an American? and it both asks and answers that question clearly.…

At the age of twenty-three I was finally able to get what I had always wanted, to legally be his daughter . As we were taking a family photo with the judge I could over hear the judge tell my new father, congrats sir its a girl. Who would have ever thought that hearing those words would mean so much to a father and daughter that have already had a relationship for many years. Six months later as we all sat around the perfectly decorated Christmas tree at my grandmothers house, I was given the best gift I had ever received, my new birth certificate. My mother even took the time to buy a frame to put it in, and still to this day that certificate sits in its frame for people to…

The Notion of Justice Over the past years, many Americans referred to slavery as an abnormal institution, yet historically it was not abnormal. On the contrary, it is a virtually universal characteristic of human history. Defenders of slavery argued that slavery had existed throughout history and was the natural state of mankind. In The Selling of Joseph by Samuel Sewall and A Model of Christian Charity by John Winthrop, have different viewpoints regarding slavery and the notion of justice.…

I chose to write about Matthew and John because they are the first and last of the Gospels. I am also the most interested in these two books since one is a synoptic Gospel and the other is not. Matthew and John are both Gospels. However, Matthew is a synoptic gospel and John is not. John is different than all the other Gospels and is not considered a synoptic Gospel because it does not contain the birth of Jesus.…

When you read this it will probably be around Christmas time which coincidentally coincides with the date that marks us being together for four months. I know you like it better when we talk about things in person, but lately we’ve been content with seeing each other once on the weekends and sometimes talking on the phone during the week. So hopefully you’re all cocooned up in bed and ready to read cause this letter may be a tad on the longer side. From the first time we met at Ellie and Cassidy’s party I knew you were someone i wanted to know better. John’s Gospel is set out to prove that Jesus Christ is God. God came in human flesh as Jesus Christ to show His people His great works through miracles and teachings. During Jesus’ time on this earth, He used the claim “I AM” to describe himself throughout all His teachings. The Gospel of John shows at least eight different times Jesus says this. Seven of these claims were accompanied by signs to back up His words.…
