Letter To Mario Cerda's Possibility

This letter is in reference to Booking 6KH2H3/E84. We were set to sail on August 14, 2017 from Tampa, Florida to Cuba. We flew from Texas to Florida a day before. Unfortunately, my husband, Mario Cerda, was denied boarding because he did not have proper documentation, more specifically, his passport. My husband is a permanent resident of the U.S., with Mexican citizenship. We have travelled to many places abroad (with Carnival & Disney) and he has never needed a passport. Just to make sure, I made a call to Carnival to verify if he needed a passport for Cuba or not, and the representative said “no, not him.” I also inquired about the Cuban visa that was needed for all of us to get off in Cuba because I was really confused with that, and the representative did tell me that those particular visas were purchased on the ship for the price of $75. …show more content…
At that moment we had travelled some cruises with Carnival when our children were really small, then we travelled with Disney as they grew, and we decided to start travelling with Carnival again now that our kids are older, and my husband never needed a passport so I did not investigate further. I was also moving from a 3000sq. foot home into an 1100sq. foot apartment in the two weeks prior to the sail date. Speaking truthfully, I also do not have the date or name of the representative whom I spoke with,
