Everything in John's life was going great until he got a letter. The letter was from his college had on it that “You will be no longer attending La university due to insufficient funds in your account.” John therefore had to look for a job, but hardly anyone would hire someone who hasn't finished their degree. So John continued his search until he found a little store in Chinatown that needed a someone to do network security for them. John a bit surprised to find a job that didn't require a degree called them up and they were happy to have him if he could prove he was the right person for the job.
John after finishing their test that seemed quite simple was soon working there and was able to save up some money for his last semester next year.

She appeals to his emotions by saying that she has hopes he doesn't endure obstacles from "enemies or the dangers of the deep sea" and by admitting her fear "to lament it ". As well as offering a structure for the novel, religious concerns dominate the content as John mulls over the expectations that he will follow his father, Gabriel’s calling and be a preacher. Throughout John’s story, a lot was expected from him; he was expected to live the holy life, to pour his soul into the religion and accept it as a part of his life, and most importantly, “everyone had always said that John would be a preacher when he grew up” (pg.1). All of these expectations from his family illustrate the societal pressure put on him in order to be that “perfect” son. John’s distaste of the idea of pursuing the same role as his father epitomizes the relationship between the two; the conflict has affected John’s relationship with his…

Rationale I wrote a letter from John to Lenina, from Brave New World, where he explains the reasons of his suicide and ask her to wake up and see the world in a different and more human way. It is written with a nostalgic informal tone and it is directed to an audience of all-ages, but especially school students. In my letter, I used informal language in first person that had a nostalgic, almost desperate tone, in which I wanted to show the struggle that John had inside of him applying phrases like “Am I sinning for wanting more than I deserve?” and “And it's wrong, and it's fine, and I'm going crazy.”.…
