I am writing today for my cousin to be considered for the Society Little Leaders Award. I am a full-time student currently in my senior year at Bloomfield College majoring in Psychology. Moreover, I will be inducted into The National Society of Leadership and Success in April. Furthermore, I am hardworking and truly motivated in my studies. In the same way, I have numerous years of experiences working with children with or without disabilities. I worked with children of all ages; I enjoy working with children. I enjoyed helping children reach their full potential. Hence, my little cousin, he is currently in the fourth grade. He loves school however; he is struggling with math, reading and writing. In the past, they did such. My godmother was emotional, and denied the teachers request. The meeting came to closing; my godmother was determined to search for a tutor. However, money becomes an inhibitor. Whenever I have the opportunity, I stop by their house and help him with his homework. As I continue, to work with him on multiple occasions he would say the answer underneath his breath. I ask, “ why talk underneath your breath?” he stated because I don’t want to sound dumb that melted my heart. After, I told him, “You are not dumb you are a smart boy.” Similar, when I was a child, in the same way, I had the same mindset as his.
