I have this dress inside my closet that means a lot to me. Each time I look inside my closet I remember of my wedding day. It is something that symbolizes love to me. I wore this dress on my wedding day, when I married to John proctor. He is a very special man to me and I will love him until death will do us apart. We had been planning this day since the day I meet him. The night before our wedding there was a bad storm in Salem. Before going to bed I asked god to stop the rain by the next day or else the church will cancel the wedding, because its bad luck if you get married when it’s raining. I remember my mother giving me this rosary necklace, and it was hand made by her I had it kept inside my jewelry box for a special day, I felt like my wedding day was the best day to wear it. Then it was time to head to church, I felt like god had blessed me by letting me get married in such a beautiful day. It was time to walk down the alley, I saw all the smiles in everyone’s faces. John was waiting for me, we were both happy. Before you knew it he was putting on my ring, and I was putting his. After the ceremony we went to the beach to celebrate that we were finally married, we had our second kiss when the sunset was going down. After me and John went to have dinner at the Salem Breakfast stop, this was the place where me and John had our first date. Honestly I felt like a lucky woman that day I am glad he will be with me forever. It has been a three years since we have gotten married and we have got closer to the church, John has become minister of the church and I have a woman’s club where we talk about ways on how to be a good puritan woman. The church officially changed my last name to proctor so I am officially Ms. Proctor. John and I fight sometimes but I know he loves

Reputation has been a factor of society that determines image and actions towards an individual that prompts secrecy either towards themselves or towards society, in order to maintain that reputation. Puritan beliefs and social structure heavily depended on a good name in order to have respect and success within a community. This is shown in Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” where reputation influenced individuals to commit certain actions that lead to multiple accusations of witchcraft and a remorseful outcome.
