Letter to Freshman Self High School will truly be a great awakening for you. These four years will be the worst four years of your life. There will be many obstacles you will encounter and many situations that will make you overwhelmed with emotion. Even though they will be terrible, you will obtain some of the greatest moments in your life. You are probably thinking, “Oh this is just a lie, I will make these the best four years of my life. It is harder than you can imagine. High school is on the border line of reality and the easy world we chose to believe. Many of the friends you had in elementary and middle school will diminish from your life. The thing about high school is everything and everyone changes. Many of the people you once knew will become complete strangers. The deeper you get in high school the more you realize all that does not that matter. You will get let down plenty of times by people, friends, and adults. It will happen so often you become accustomed to it. This will affect you at first but you will learn to not let it bring you down. Learning who you are is the most important thing and it will make life so much easier for you. During high school you will come across many things you may not know how to handle. You will struggle with relationships with other people. There will be times you have no one to go to. Just know that there will always be someone there. Do not forget that. Appreciate every person who gives up effort to be there in your life. Life is too precious and too short. You will encounter your first real loss. You will lose a good friend and it will astonish you at first. When this happens you will recognize that every second is important and every loved one is important. As you come along your high school journey you will learn a lot. Knowing the once unknown is a relief. In the end, you will be stronger than you were to begin with. Transcend and you will become everything you wish to
