To Whom it may concern at Smile for a Lifetime Foundation,

Emily McCann was a former 8th grade student of mines. During the 2015-2016 school year I had the pleasure of teaching such an eccentric young lady for which I gathered in that year is very reserved, organized, studious, and meticulous about how she conducts herself and the way she learns. I also observed that she is a person who is very dedicated and passionate about learning, the Arts (drama and drawing), and reading. She demonstrated this by exceling in her academics and upholding honor roll while attending John F. Kennedy High School. More so, Emily is of caring nature. She is an outstanding individual who did not mind lending a helping hand to her fellow

It is a great pleasure to recommend Rachel Sitasz for admission to the Edward Hospital Student Volunteer Program. She is one of the most empathetic, kind, and exceptional humans I have encountered in my 14 years of teaching. I teach Rachel in my 8th grade advanced ELA class. Her academics, character, innate curiosity, intrinsic motivation, ethical standards, and unwavering desire to give back, have put Rachel in a class of her own. In fact, for the first time in over 25+ years, the eighth-grade team created a brand new end-of-the-year award for our graduation awards assembly.…

1.The points where I started to noticed foreshshadowing of the ending, was in section 3 where Emily goes to drug store to buy arsenic. There was no information on how Emily was going to use that poison. The story did prepare me for something different then I was expecting. I would of thought Emily would of used the poison on herself, to end her life after she had lost her father. She used it on Homer 2.…

When Edna continued with her new way of thinking she felt more like a person since her separation with society and Leonce. When she started to like other men as a married woman shows how serious she was about changing her lifestyle. This was another reason why I support her, men who wrongfully treat a woman should not be with them. I think that was a great decision by Edna, to find someone else who actually cared about their relationship rather than a material. Edna just wanted to be alone half of the time or get a dose of emotional attention that she never had living with Leonce.…

“A Rose for Emily” by William Faulkner was published in the year 1930 (Wikipedia). Although some readers might say that Emily Grierson, the main character of “A Rose for Emily” was in control of her life, and she led herself through what made her feel happy, she was actually a terrifying person who lived a violent life herself. Emily Grierson was one of the Southern town’s old women who received respect from the townspeople, which explains that she was one of the well to do families in her town “Jefferson.” Southern women are friendly, welcoming, and they usually neatly decorate their houses with flowers. Nevertheless, Emily acted like a Southern gothic by doing the exact opposite.…

It was created with the mission to provide emotional and academic support for the children who live in this neighborhood and attend one of Worcester’s lowest performing schools, Union Hill. Azariah’s bear hugs envelop me with love and excitement when she greets me each day that I spend volunteering to teach her reading and math skills and act as a big sister. Behind her smile and warm embrace is a young girl who has not been given many opportunities to grow and reach her potential. She has trouble concentrating and does not comprehend how studying is going to be of value to her life.…
