Dr. Kordanna,
I think I had hurt myself worse than I thought. The pain is really bad, so I am going to the emergency room or the clinic down the street. The ISHH has still not given me the benefit. I send, numerous email, faxed and hand deliver the paperwork and got confirms from 9/22, they keep saying they did not get it and until 10/24. This firm represents St. David’s South Austin Medical Center (the “Hospital”) in the above-referenced matter. In your June 29, 2016 letter, you contend that the hospital lien filed in regard to the services your client received at the Hospital’s emergency department (“ED”) on March 17, 2016 was fraudulent because Mr. Smith was never “admitted” to the Hospital. Be advised that the Hospital disagrees with your position, as it is a misapplication of Chapter 55 of the Texas Property Code. Section 55.002(a) states that for a lien to attach, the individual must be “admitted to a hospital.” Importantly, the term “admitted to a hospital” is not limited or restricted in Chapter 55 to any particular type of admission, such as an inpatient admission, ED admission, or an outpatient admission.…

I am a current resident of Clark County and I am expressing my concern about a travesty that I feel is taking place in our community and also our society as a whole. As Obama care continues to roll out, more people are finding themselves on State insurance (Medicaid). Due to this I am finding that there is a massive increase in the amount of stigma that comes along with being on this insurance. Why do we live in a society that recognizes success based off of the car you drive, the career path you chose or in this case the type of medical insurance you carry.…
