Throughout my high school endeavor I have had the privilege to be in the AVID program for two years. Initiating my junior year thanks to my cousin Martin who introduced me to you. However, I wish I would have commenced my freshman year. I write this letter for three reasons: First, to express my appreciation for your key role in the success of the AVID program thus far. Secondly, to convey my personal gratitude for all the opportunities you have offered me and the countless amounts of advice. Lastly, with earnest respect, if at all possible within your time constraints, I was wondering if you could write me a letter of recommendation that I will take full advantage of as I endeavor on the college application process this fall. You do your absolute best and nothing less for this program. Although at times it may seem like students do not value all your hardwork and dedication just know that it does not go unnoticed by me. I wish to thank you for the countless opportunities you blessed me with. From the sole fact of just accepting me to the program, allowing me to go on the Junior Trip, and sharing memories that I will value for the rest of my life. I am deeply appreciative for it all. As my senior year unfolds, I also hope to strengthen our friendship even more. In the near future I wish to be a plastic surgeon and run my own separate business on the side. This has been my goal ever since I received plastic surgery as a child due to ear birth defections. Thanks to a plastic surgeon in Mexico, my life shifted within a few hours and my confidence as a child was obtained. That moment in my life triggered a spark telling me to follow that career. I wish to attend either UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Riverside, or UC Davis; where I will initiate my journey to become a plastic surgeon. Currently I am active in four clubs on campus where I hold leadership positions in two: AVID Club and Dreamers Club. Also, I am currently taking four Advanced Placement courses and still managing my online business. This year I hope to perform countless hours of community service, in the past I have about one hundred, and just spread gratitude for everyone who has contributed to my success thus
