The Holocaust is important to me because my grandfather is a survivor and I would love to go to the JCC and ask a survivor about their experiences during the Holocaust. My grandfather was lucky enough to not be sent to a concentration camp because he was saved by his father. My grandfather’s story is one to tell and I would hate to miss the opportunity to hear his story. I would also hate to miss another survivor share their story which is why I am writing this email. It is my responsibility to share the stories of this awful time because eventually there won't be any survivors to do so. In 100 years people won't think the Holocaust ever happened, like the time when Jews were slaves in Egypt. Now, there is no one alive to share their stories
