ATTN: Ms. Harrison RE: Stanesha Petithomme I am writing this letter of recommendation at the request of Stanesha Petithomme, who is applying to run for student council here at Olympic High School. I have known Stanesha since her freshman year here at Olympic high school. Stanesha has been in numerous classes that I have covered over the last three years, and have showed me nothing less than the traits of a true scholar. With a 3.1 grade point average and enrolled in AP courses her academic intellect proves her capability to perform all task and duties of her desired position on student council.…

“Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.” Up to this day, Marthin Luther King still plays a signigicant role in equality between different races. When he was imprisoned in a Birmingham jail for no apparent reason in 1963, eight white Alabama clergymen wrote a letter to African-Americans and urged them to stop protesting in the streets. A few days later King responded by writing “A Letter From a Birmingham Jail” claiming that African-Americans will never receive the rights they deserve if they stop protesting. King wonderfully used the three rhetorical appeals to help get his point across to his audience.…

Dear Members of the Academic Standards Committee; I am writing to appeal my academic dismissal from Walla Walla University. Receiving this letter was very troubling to me, although I understand because my past two quarters have not been the best. Nevertheless, I am writing with the hope that you will give me another chance and reinstate me for the Spring 2018 semester. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to explain my circumstances.…
I am writing to you today to ask you to please allow me to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. The reason why I am not currently meeting these standards is because I have exceeded the University’s allowed 60-semester hour limit for a single Masters degree. Now I cannot receive financial aid, which is crucial for me, as I do not have any other source to continue my studies. First of all, had I been aware of this limit, I would have begun this process about a year ago to avoid having to go through this ordeal. The reason why I am over the allowed 60 semester hours is because I am currently pursuing two separate Masters degree programs at Indiana University at the same time.…

To whom it may concern: This letter is to request my reinstatement to University of Maryland University College. My poor academic performance was not just a bad reflection of myself but also of what knowledge I should have been able to show I learned from taking intriguing classes. I have never been a person to give up and usually go full force with anything I would like to pursue. This may not be the best description; however, I believe I may have hit my own version of a mid-life crisis.…
Dear Lobby Hobby Supreme Court, About a week ago, I was assaulted by a Camper at Camp Green Lake, named Hector Zeroni. He hit me on top of my head with a shovel, and at that very moment, I remember falling to the ground fairly quickly, unconscious. When I woke up, I became very frantic/ jittery, as the side of my head felt like a mound of the deadly green spotted lizards were munching on my now sunburned skin. Wouldn’t you be terrified if you woke up like that, with a big lump on the side of your head, in the back of a pick-up truck?…
Firstly I would like to express my deepest apologies for the time scale for which I am submitting this appeal, unfortunately when I received my results for the assignment mentioned in the front side of the stage 1 from, I was left feeling rather discouraged. Thus, time was required to come to terms with the situation. As time passed I realised the possible valid grounds for appealing the current grade. Upon convening with my course leader (Carol Williams) I was advised upon the degree to which I hold a valid cause for appeal and steps to take.…
