1979 President Carter was on the decline and his approbation rating was not looking good. It was Election time and Future president Ronald Regan asked a question to the Americans that was visually examining the debate as it was shown on TV “Are you better off than you were four years ago?” An astronomical majority of the voters in America verbally expressed No and elected President Regan by 10 points in the popular vote. The term was engendered in 1979 during a time in which the Coalesced States was suffering from a worsening economy at home marked by high unemployment and inflation. The phrase "Let's Make America Great Again" appeared on buttons and posters during Reagan's 1980 campaign. This slogan was pristinely responding to Americans that …show more content…
Trump popularized the slogan by wearing hats bearing the phrase early in his campaign. Despite Trump trademarking the slogan, it has been utilized in verbalizations by other 2016 candidates, such as Ted Cruz and Scott Ambulator. He resurfaced this puissant yet simple message to let Americans ken that America can be great again. As they did Reagan in the 1980 elections, the same thing is verbalized about Trump that his message to simple that it is not just that facile to make America again. Many people have drawn Donald Trump and Ronald Regan starting with Trump himself, who habituated Reagan’s 1980 slogan “Let’s make America great again.” Like Reagan, Trump is a former Democrat and a one-time TV star, whom the media initially dismissed as having little chance of reaching the White House. It seems akin to history is reiterating itself. Everyone is verbally expressing that Trump message is too simple and that it is not that facile. We still have to wait for the outcome of 2016 Election. The message was made Clear for Reagan and he acquired victory, let’s visually perceive if slogan works for Trump. Americans are buying into so there might be a chance that history will reiterate
