From the video “Let the fire Burn”, brought to life one of the most tumultuous and largely forgotten clashes between government and citizens in modern American history. MOVE was foundered by John Africa believed in nature and vocal about the treatment of black people in society. On May 13, 1985, after a long standoff, Philadelphia municipal authorities dropped a bomb on a residential house. The Osage Avenue home was the headquarters of the African-American radical group MOVE, which had confronted police on many occasions since the group's founding in 1972.
From the video, many unethical behaviors cut across the scenes, the group named MOVE, the Mayor and the Police. Also, parents and the police have utterly failed to protect children who were involved in this. I knew even as a child that the children were not to blame for what happened to them and that a fundamental injustice had occurred, when police and Mayor totally ignored that were children were in the house in both Pearl street incidence and the Osage avenue too. …show more content…
