When one great leader disappears, one will be born. When Moses died, he had already chosen his successor. “And Joshua the son of Nun was full of spirit of wisdom; for Moses has laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as Jehovah commended Moses.” Deut 34: 9. This quote means that Joshua was the chosen one, before he died, Moses had given Joshua everything he needed to be a leader. Joshua received power from Moses and he was full of the holy spirit. The Israelites listened to him and followed what the Lord told Moses.

A great leader must know how to command. Joshua was excellent in this filed. Joshua had all qualities required to be a good leader. In the bible, Joshua commanded his people to fear God and serve him, because the Lord had done so much for them. He urges people to renounced the gods their fathers worshiped. Joshua mentioned that he and his house will serve the Lord. However, Joshua also gave them the choice to choose whoever god they want to worship.
