One thing is for sure wise people take advantage of those lessons at least that is the way I see it, I have learned so much from my lessons. I have put in practice what I have learned so far and it had helped me out to recognize the value of simple things in life such as family, people around you, the material things you have, and those things that makes your life better and happier.
One of the lessons that impacted my life the most and taught me a lot of things such as to love those around me happened to me when I was nine years old. At age of nine I remember that one of my uncles when on vacations to my mother land I was still

I played the role of an adult and tried to keep everyone safe but then again I was just a nine years old boy trying to look after six kids younger than me. I could not control them all and one of the younger ones get in to a rocky cliff, when I realized was going on I rushed over the cliff to prevent that my younger cousin fell into the water I managed to get her off the cliff harmless, but I stepped in as loose rock I lost valance and fell. The water was so deep that I couldn’t touch the bottom. The worst thing was that I did not know how to swim at that time, I struggled for about five minutes I thought I was done for. A lot of things flashed throughout my mind in matter of seconds, I tried so hard to swim but I didn’t work I was losing hope and giving up and then those memories kept crossing my mind. One of them was my dad who was far from home, other one was my mom and my brother, my grandma and even my dog crossed my mind at that moment a bunch of the good moments that we had came into my mind and there I was losing consciousness when someone grabbed me and lift me up in the air. I don’t know how he did it a fisherman who was near swam all the way where I was and saved me from drowning, and by the time my uncle found out what was happening that brave man had saved me

In this article, Chris Widener tells the audience 10 things he wish he knew before he went out in the real world. These lessons aren’t the type that are taught by teachers, but they are lessons people come to realize just through living life and growing up. For a lot of people, these negative aspects are sheltered by their parents throughout childhood or they are something a child cannot experience just simply because they are too young. At the end, Widener lets the audience know that although there are certainly negative parts of just living life, but life can still be wonderful depending on whether or not you choose to look at life with a positive attitude. While reading this article, I could definitely agree and connect to some of the…

In the stories “The Lesson” by Toni Cade Bambara, and “The Struggle to be an All American Girl” by Elizabeth Wong, and the poem “Indian Boarding School: The Runaways” by Louise Erdrich, each of the writers focus on the positive and negative aspects of education. While part of the setting for Louise Erdrich’s poem and Elizabeth Wong’s story take place inside an actual school, the setting for Toni Cade Bambara’s story doesn’t take place inside a school; however, for all three stories, the characters in them are taught very important lessons. When I think about the three readings it reminds me that we have important lessons in our life that we have to learn from. Everyone has a lesson they have to learn in life no matter what it is…

It's funny how you think of someone a certain way and then when you get to know them, they're nothing like that at all, whether they live up to your standards and everything you thought about them was right Or whether you're disappointed with the way they are. We as humans have this really nasty habit of judging people for their actions on a daily basis, not knowing the story behind why they might be doing it. We say things we don't mean, we assume things the wrong way and we act out when life doesn't go the way we expect it to even though sometimes it's for the best. Being 21, the biggest lesson I've learned is that I can't let my own problems and insecurities get in the way of other people's lives.…

How have your life lessons shaped your future? In the book, “The Five People You Meet In Heaven,” by Mitch Albom, the main character, Eddie is taught various life lessons from people who have affected his life. Each person Eddie meets in heaven helps him to understand his purpose in life and helps him to forgive those who have hurt him. The most valuable lessons to be learned from Eddie’s journey are: that there are no random acts, that life has to end, but love does not, and that sacrifice is not something to regret. We are all connected, everything that we do affects not only ourselves but the people around us.…

These are also valuable lessons I have learned myself. At a young age, I learned that one’s attitude towards others could open or close many doors. Although, I knew having a good attitude could take you very far in life, this became more apparent to me at the age of 14. During this year, I was able to watch my older cousin apply for several college scholarships. After winning his sixth…
