The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Meaning that what you go through in life can teach you how to deal with it, if it ever happened again. You learn from your mistakes, and they can make you a better person. I often make the mistake of letting people take advantage of me, whether it be at work or just with friends. I like to do anything I can for anyone I care for, and have a hard time saying no. When someone needs something I always offer to help. Often I get taken advantage of at work, mostly because when they ask me on my day off to come in and work for someone I say yes. So now anytime they need someone to come in they won’t ask anyone else they just call me because they know I will come in. I really do want to help, but it’s not fair to ask the same person every time. No one should have to worry about getting a call to come in and work on their day off. I do need to learn how to say no, but i’m always the person they turn too. Sometimes people need to be more considerate about others lives outside of work. …show more content…
It’s not fair that my other employees won’t come in because they know that I will. They get there days off to do whatever they want and I want my days off just as bad as they do. I think that everyone should be treated the same, and we should take turn on who comes in when help is needed. Going back to my opinion, I still believe that it is good to help other people in need. They shouldn't be knows as some sort of evil ¨peasants¨ just for the fact that they are looking and needing for help. Most people don't even reach out for help, but people still go out to help them because it is just the right thing to do. I am also not saying that you should give money to every person you see and leave known for yourself. It is a great thing to be able to take care of yourself and strive for what you really…

When I first got employed I was very alert to the new environment I was in. I observed the other and employees and how they did everything. He fired her on spot because of this. Ever since then I took into account what happened and learned to never do that because I knew what would happen to me if I did.…

I have had many bad jobs in my life, but none worse than working at Wal-Mart. I was a cart pusher at Wal-Mart for almost two and a half years between the two times I worked there. The working conditions were terribly unsafe, the management and fellow associates were bad, and the job expectations were unreal. When I worked as a cart pusher the first time I was employed at Wal-Mart we were expected to work in very unsafe conditions such as: thunderstorms, when under heat advisories, and without proper equipment. I was always told by management to “Suck it up” or “It’s your job deal with it” when I would try to discuss these unsafe working conditions with anyone.…

You may think all employees are the same; in fact you may have forgotten that the individual serving your food or that the ladies checking you in at the doctors are actually people with an existence outside of their job. I believe people would be surprised to learn that each workplace is distinctive and you may despise your occupation, or you might love it yet, one thing is certain, that you have individuals at your occupation you must see everyday, for eight hours, who inevitably become like family. For example, you have the ones you are happy to see, You also have the ones you just have to tolerate. A great example of an incompetent coworker is the person that calls out sick all the time, but when they actually do show up to work they need…
