The lessons I️ have learned from being a teammate has helped me in life and it has also helped me better my team and my community. In any sport that I have played, I have always taken on a great leadership role. My basketball coach has always referred to me as “The Mother of the Team.” I have always been able to be a great impact on everyone else’s life. I️ learned that when you are on a team motivation, hard work, dedication, and communication are the main qualities that are beneficial to have a successful team. In my community I️ base my advice off of these four quantities because with these quantities you can not go wrong! When you are on a team you are supposed to be able to motivate the next person so that you can help better the team! …show more content…
When you motivate someone you tend to push them to a point that could really bring out the best in them. Everyone will not always have a good day, so I️ have always been the person that motivates others to do better or to take them off to the side and have a conversation with them letting them know that everything will be just fine. I always tell people in my community that one thing is for sure you have to be able to be willing to put in the work in anything you do! Hard work does pay off! The most successful people in today’s world are not successful because they were just given everything but they are successful because they worked for it! Dedication plays a big role in not only sports but in the real world. When you sign up to do something you have to be dedicated and willing to miss out on the fun things in life if you sign up to do something! Communication will take you a long way!
