1. In the begin Bow’s family believed that they had to be look good for the camera and that didn’t matter if they win the game or not they just had to make a good impression. Throughout the game they started realize that to win Family Freud you didn’t have to dress nice but have the correct answers.
2. Leslie Bow had to keep a low profile because it was the 1970’s.The Vietnam War was coming to a messy end and in New York some Filipino’s were pushed in front of a subway train because they were mistaken with the Viet Cong.
3. Bows description of her competitors is that they are “yellow-haired, corn fed folks” and they look nothing compared to Bows family. She explains in her description that their competitors looked more American than them. She

Richard Dawson was a host of Family Feud in the late twenty century. Bow refers to him as a “serial kisser” because he had kissed about 20,000 women during his time hosting Family Feud. He said I didn’t regret anything and used to say and that he was just giving them good luck. They aired a thirty-minute episode showing Dawson kissing twenty-eight women.
6. Bow organizes her essay by using chronological order. She tells the readers how they found out about the auditions and then describes what they were planning to wear and finally going on Family Feud. The way she puts the events in order lets the reader imagine being on the same Family Feud set watching Bow and her family play. The readers can imagine how the Bow family looked compared to other family who were wearing t-shirts with slogans.
7. Bows strategic use of concrete examples shows vivid images of what they had experience when they went to audition for Family Fred. For instance, the bow family all dressed up and Bow and her sister wore sundress because they thought by looking cute that they would win the game. They describe how they felt when they saw their competitors and how they felt losing due to the patriotic questions asked so they wouldn’t know the answer to the
