    Promissory Estoppel Essay

This essay seeks to discuss the Doctrine of Promissory Estoppel and the Doctrine of Consideration, as well as a clear analysis, with the use of case law, how Promissory Estoppel has become an exception to the general principle that a promise may only be enforced if it is supported by good consideration; it will ultimately conclude whether or not a promise to accept a smaller sum in discharge of a larger sum, if acted upon, is binding notwithstanding the absence of consideration. A contract is a legally binding agreement in law between two or more parties, which is enforced by law or by binding arbitration if it covers the elements of a valid legal agreement. For there to be a valid contract, three elements must be present, offer, acceptance, and consideration. He believed that this experience presented sufficient qualifications for an interview. Mr. Jackson contended that the WLAF eventually hired a coach who did not conform to their informal guidelines when they hired Roman Gabriel.…

I have a few reasons of why I wish to be released from the 2-year contract. For starters, ever since the first month of college started when my friend took her life in the dorms on September 23, I have been having nightmares at least 2-3 times a week when I sleep in the dorms. It doesn’t matter if I am sleeping in my room or in my friend’s room; I still wake up in the middle of the night having bad dreams. I get super afraid when I am alone at night in my room because I can just imagine the picture in my head, and you would think that it would have gotten better over the months, but it has just gotten worse. I have always had a hard time trying to fall asleep, but this year has been the worst.…
