Did you ever think of winning big? Well Germaine Lauzon a middle aged housewife in her forties certainly has and have boasted proudly about her winnings. She is a working class woman that is accustomed to a life of little luxuries and had dreams of refurbishing and decorating her working class home from top to bottom. So when she won a million trading stamps in lottery she saw it as an opportunity to fulfill her dream. She invites her friends and relatives over to help her clue the stamps into a booklet where tensions emerged. However, she failed to realize the bitterness and resentment that her friends have towards her. “Not fair, my eye! You’re jealous, that’s all. You said so yourself the minute you walked in. Well I don’t like jealous people, I don’t like them one bit! In fact, if you really want to know, I can’t stand them!” (38).
